Part of my 31 for January set (a few favourite shots of 2013)
There is something totally unique about this image. It's taken from Alice & Russell's quirky and alternative Brighton wedding. We managed to escape down to the sea front in the midday sun for some shots of iconic Brighton.
Alice and Russell have a great sense of humour so we set up this shot quickly. It really does remind me of those classic Martin Parr shot of New Brighton in the early eighties for his Last Resort project.
It's just got that hyper real feel to the image, it's not something that I'd expect to see from a wedding photographer and that's what I love about it. And thats also what keeps driving me as i'm always looking for that little something different that stands out. You may not like this shot, and it probably didn't make the album, but for me as someone who loves photography it ticks all the right boxes.
So if you'd like to have a look at a few more of the shots we did down the beach check out this here link here.
