WeddingsAdam BronkhorstComment

I freaking love Winter Weddings!!!!!

These are a few sneak peeks from Helen and Alex's lovely and intimate Sussex Countryside Winter Wedding at the lovely Hendall Manor Barns near Uckfield.

A few things i loved:

The cold
The fact that Helen braved the cold in her dress and didn't complain once
Alex's classic BMW car
Alex's trilby hat
Hendall Manor Barns staff
Bubbles
The guests
Small Weddings where I actually get to talk to the guests
Ice on the ground and in the pond
The ground keep who decided to burn a big pile of leaves and create all that smoke

So massive congrats to Helen & Alex for a lovely wedding.

How to have fun with Off Camera Flash for a couples shoot

I've just come back from an amazing week with Photography Farm and Farm Shop, where we put two wedding photography conferences and workshops on in Brighton and Glasgow.

I gave three talks over the week on how to capture amazing dance floor shots by using flash and having fun. And while I was in Glasgow I was so inspired with the industrial building (The Glue Factory) we were in and the other photographers that were there, that I really wanted to do a quick shoot with a couple. So I managed to grab the lovely guys who were making the best coffee from their stall for a quick 30 mins and we raced around the building with two off camera flashes and had a bit of fun.

So I wanted to show that you don't have to have much equipment, just an open mind and a bit of creativity to get a few different set ups and looks with your photography.

If you'd like to learn more about how to work smart with flash photography, we're bringing Photography Farm Elements back to Brighton and Glasgow in May, so do give us a shout.

Brighton Winter Wedding

I can't tell you how much fun I had messing about on Brighton beach last night at the winter wedding of Zoe and Geoff, with a couple of flashes and some smoke bombs.

Zoe and Geoff booked me as I love low light weddings and specialise in winter weddings and being creative with wedding photography. It also helps when wedding couples come up with some great ideas for their photography and give me free reign to be creative and slightly alternative with their images.

So massive thanks to the happy couple as well as Brighton Pavilion (for letting us use sparklers) where they had their ceremony and the Ginger Pig in Hove where their reception was.

Wow, what a year it's been.

I've met some amazing people and photographed a load of lovely weddings. As usual i'm very honoured to be capturing people's special day and to be given the creativity to shoot it in my own unique way.

So here is a small selection (i've done a short slideshow with many more images in it, which i'll post later in the month) for you to see the kind of things i've been up to in weddingland this past year.

Thanks for looking and I'd like to wish you all the best for 2017.

Autumn Camber Sands Wedding

I love it when the summer is over and the sun is lower in the sky. You just get amazing light.

Little would you know that about half an hour before these photos were taken it bucketed down with rain and when I say bucketed, I really mean it.

So this is Kyra & Mark's lovely fun Camber Sands wedding at The Gallivant just outside of Rye in East Sussex.

Massive congrats to them.

Brighton Winter Wedding 5th Anniversary

Adam BronkhorstComment

I can't believe that it's been five years since the Brighton Winter Wedding of Haruka & Matt.

They were married at Brighton Town Hall and then we had a fun time walking around town at dusk taking photos. I love the winter light.

Massive congrats to both Haruka & Matt who i've really enjoyed seeing their family grow over the last five years on Facebook.

Islington Town Hall Autumn Wedding

I always like seeing my couples anniversaries on Facebook.

So a massive Happy Anniversary to Heidi and Ed who were married at Islington Town Hall with a North London Reception.

I just love Autumn and Winter weddings, there is just so much more texture and colours around. Which makes being creative so much easier.

Winter Wedding Special Offer

So I love Winter Weddings so much that i'm gonna have a special offer (a massive 20% discount) this year on any Winter Wedding that I get to shoot in Daylight Savings Time. So thats any wedding up to Sunday 27th March 2016.

Why do I love Winter Weddings?

Well as you may or may not know I love shooting low light weddings. I get excited about using flash and lighting things to be creative. I teach other wedding photographers how to shoot winter weddings and I'm somewhat embarrassingly know as Grand Master Flash.

When it gets dark earlier, I get more of a chance to be creative and capture weddings in a totally unique way. Most of my favourite wedding shots have been taken after dark with my flashes. When I'm shooting a summer wedding and it's still light at 9pm. I just don't get the chance to do this. So when it gets dark at 5pm. Thats just perfect for me and my style of shooting.

Your winter wedding.

So if you've been panicking that you're having a dark winter wedding with low or little light. Don't worry, you just haven't found the right photographer.......until now.

If you'd like to have a chat with me about this special offer please do drop me a line as i'd love to talk to you about capturing your wedding in a creative way.
