Wedding Light Painting

So this weekend I shot two very cool weddings. I blogged the first wedding's sneak peek here yesterday. Well this is the sneak peek from the second wedding this weekend.

Internet meet Adam & Lucy (actually i've just remembered that you've met them before). Two of the coolest dudes that you're likely to meet. They put so much effort into their wedding it was unbelievable. There was a big top, there were two massive boats, there was an airstream trailer as a stage, there was the worlds smallest rave, there was a choir, there was a chill out tent disguised as grannies front room, a robot place name board, a big FUN sign, a big YES sign, lots and lots of very cool guests....I could go on and on, but you get the idea that this wedding was...IMMENSE.

I was so spoilt for choice with which photo to post as a sneak peek, but I think this one just pipped it for me. (although I may post another sneak peek later)

This was shot right at the end of the night and was the last photo that I took. I knew that I wanted to do some kind of light painting shot with Adam & Lucy and I was trying to think of what to do, when I flicked the TV over to the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games and saw a load of the performers with umbrellas with lights in them. BINGO. "I'm havin' that". I thought to myself.

So a big thanks to Adam & Lucy who didn't mind standing in the field (somewhere in Reading) while I set my camera on the tripod, then realised that I had the wrong lens on, so ran back to change that. Then had an issue with the flash (this was lit with only one flash), ran back to change that....and then the battery on the camera died, so had to run back for that. But I think the result was worth it, as I'm really happy with the final image and I'm not sure i've seen a wedding photo that looks like this before.
