Off camera flash & light painting wedding photography workshop

A couple of weeks ago Viva Wedding Photography’s main photographer and lighting expert Adam Bronkhorst, ran a three day off camera flash and light painting workshop for wedding photographers. This was run as part of British Journal of Photography’s wedding photographer of the year Lisa Devlin’s new venture The Photography Farm.

The workshop takes place at an amazing venue which used to be a recording studio and the likes of Oasis, Ozzy Osbourne & Thin Lizzy have all stayed there partying hard. They even wrote Bohemien Rhapsody there, but we won’t hold that against them.

We provide people on the workshop, with several big set pieces to shoot, with models, styling, sets etc. as part of the learning process. The amount of effort that went into these sets pieces is really evident in the images. Just check out the credit lists to see how much work we all put in. This is what sets The Photography Farm apart from other workshops out there and makes it really something special.

Here are a select few images that we shot of the set ups to give people an idea of how to shoot with Off-Camera flash and how we would go about lighting a scene with minimal equipment.

The next Off-camera flash (aka Strobist) Photography Farm is taking place on 31st January 2012 to 2nd February 2012.

There will also be a one day on camera flash workshop on January 26th.
